About us

Operating as both an artist collective and a television film production company, our projects are anchored in Hip Hop Culture (#bars4justice), Archeology and Ethnographic research (Invisible Mexico).

We have made it our mission to demystify preconceived notions about Indigenous/Original/Black people around the globe.

Working in innovative ways, Nation19 have developed a model that merges collaborative conceptual art practices—partially steeped in Activism, Edutainment, Technology and Visual Anthropology.

Nation19 have directed and screened films in 7 countries, and have lectured in universities and organizations around the world, including:

The Confucius Institute, Beijing China
MoMA (The Museum of Modern Art) New York
Tiapapata Art Centre, Apia Samoa
Arizona State University
Glasgow Short Film Festival, Scotland
Denver Metropolitan College
Glendale community College
University of Arizona
Wayne State University, Michigan
California State University, Long Beach, CA
Indigenous Peoples March, Washington DC
