Sam DuBose with his family.
As you may already know, Samuel DuBose, 43, father of 10, was murdered on July 19th by a single shot to the head fired by University of Cincinnati police officer Ray Tensing during a routine traffic stop, in which DuBose was pulled over for not having a front license plate.
Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters told the media that University of Cincinnati police officer Ray Tensing will be charged with murder. In a frank assessment of the officer’s conduct, Deters said Tensing had “purposely killed” DuBose and that he “should never have been a police officer”.
The suspect, officer Ray Tensing, claimed he was dragged by the car, when his body-cam video obviously shows otherwise. The video shows that Tensing, who stopped DuBose in Mount Auburn on July 19 for driving without a front license plate, speaks to him for a little less than two minutes before he fatally shot Dubose in the head.
Now, former University of Cincinnati Police Officer Ray Tensing pleaded not guilty Thursday July 30 to charges of murder and voluntary manslaughter in the July 19 shooting death of Samuel DuBose.
At the arraignment, the judge set Tensing’s bond at $1 million.
Some inside the courtroom applauded when Judge Megan Shanahan announced the bond, and she quickly admonished them and called for order in the court.
Tensing posted bond later in the day, according to the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts’ website. His next court date is set for August 19. Really? Sandra Bland didn’t even get a release before she was mysteriously hung in her cell! Why is he even able to post bond after a cold blooded murder, and after blatantly lying in his report that he was dragged? Now that he has been released, he can flee to china for all we know! Let’s see what August 19th will reveal.
