Manuia Samoa is a traveling exhibition showcasing the history and culture of ancient Pacific civilizations. It has been hosted at Artplace America in Jackson, Mississippi, Global Education Center in Nashville, Tennessee, and Fagaitua High School in Faga’itua, American Samoa. The exhibit features little known facts, such as celestial navigation, traditional crafts, precolonial religion, indigenous medical practices, and the false narratives of anthropophagy. Nan Madol of Pohnpei State, Pulemelei Pyramid Mound of Independent Samoa, the monoliths of both Rapa Nui and Palau, and many other archaeological sites are presented. Manuia Samoa also covers contemporary life in the Pacific, its disappearing cultures, and the actions being taken to preserve them.
